I enjoy knitting. Knitting is a calming activity that I can work on almost anywhere. One of my favorite things to knit is a bear; although my dad likes to call them cats. The bears that I normally make are small, about 10 inches tall, and are filled with stuffing. One of my good friends just had a beautiful baby girl so I made a larger version of the bear. It was so much fun to make! I used purple thread, the softest I could find. With the smaller bears I don’t add the eyes and nose, they are small enough that the best way to add the eyes is the draw them on. With the larger bear, I did add the face and ears in a teal thread. I had a lot of fun making the large purple bear, and because of the size there is no question, it is a bear not a cat.
